General framework for degree programmes in the domain built environment
All degree programmes in het Dutch higher education system are required to have a so called programme profile: a document that describes the essential elements in the programme, as well as the end qualifications for a diploma. As such, a certain level of uniformity between programmes is guaranteed, while at the same time there is room for specific focus by individual institutions.
Within the Domain Built Environment, the associate degree and bachelor programmes have agreed on a joint description of all programmes in the domain, a so called domain profile. It covers disciplines such as civil engineering, archaeology, spatial planning and more. Like all programme profiles, it is developed in cooperation with companies and other organisations that are active in the field. Recently, a fully updated Dutch version of the domain profile was presented. An English translation of the short version is now available online. It can be downloaded on this page.
